Welcome to my classroom management page! On the following pages, you will find classroom management strategies inspired by the literature I have read in my CSUSM courses, as well as those informed by my teaching philosophy, Existentialism. The guiding theme of these strategies is allowing for the most freedom and autonomy possible regarding students' learning and self-discipline.
The classroom environment I hope to build is one in which students feel a strong sense of belonging and complicity in how the class operates and succeeds. Students' voices will be heard at every level and stage of the planning process through collaborative rule-making, meetings, choice, groupwork, recovery, long-term support, and higher levels of the class management pyramid. Enjoy your stay!
